Starting today, August 2nd, some of my original gouache paintings will be on display at the Palmer Museum of History and Art through August 8th. The museum runs a program every year where they feature a different local artist every week during the summer months. Earlier this spring, I put in my application and it was accepted!
I spent the afternoon yesterday, under the supervision of my daughter, setting up the display.
The paintings featured are fairly varied. You’ll find some of my recent works from this year, like the “Palmer Water Tower”, the “Lynch Mountain Cabin” and one of my favorites, “My Beauty in the Buff” (may only be on display for a few days).
There are also a variety of paintings from last year. “Winter Farm” featuring a local farm in the midst of winter is one of my favorite. There are flowers, mountains and much more. There are also a few holiday-inspired paintings, as seen below.
If you happen to be in the area, whether local or just passing through town on other Alaskan adventures, feel free to stop by, take a peek and maybe pickup an original or a print.
Note that during this week, all originals that are on display are temporarily listed as out of stock here on the website.
Hope to see you there!
