Pigment Mixer lets you upload a reference image and click anywhere to instantly sample a color and see the closest matching swatch in your palette. Save your favorite colors as named paint swatches, then get suggested 2- or 3-color mixes (with ratios) to help you recreate new colors using the paints you already own.

Read the Pigment Mixer Preview announcement here.

  1. Load an image, preferably of swatches.
  2. Click on a color to load the color information.
  3. Click Save to swatch.
  4. Fill in at least name and brand.
  5. Click Save.

In the preview version, you can save up to 12 swatches in the Default palette.

  1. Load an image that includes the color you need to mix. Reference photos you are using with your painting project are ideal.
  2. Click on a color to load the color information.
  3. Review the suggested color mixes presented.
  4. Mix the new color using the suggested mix.
  5. Paint away!

Not with the preview version.

The contents of your palette will be saved in your browser. As long as you return with the same browser, your saved swatches should remain accessible.

An expanded feature set will be considered based on user feedback and interest.

Submit Feedback

Exporting is a feature being worked on, as evident by the buttons by the palette. It is not ready for prime-time at this time.
