Pigment Mixer lets you upload a reference image and click anywhere to instantly sample a color and see the closest matching swatch in your palette. Save your favorite colors as named paint swatches, then get suggested 2- or 3-color mixes (with ratios) to help you recreate new colors using the paints you already own.Note that this preview version, while in early development, has limits on the number of palettes, swatches and mixes that can be saved. This number will be increased over time as I get comfortable everything works as expected

How do I save a swatch?

Load an image, preferably of swatches.
Click on a color to load the color information.
Click Save to swatch.
Fill in at least name and brand.
Click Save.

How many swatches can I save?

In the preview version, you can save up to 12 swatches in the Default palette.

How many Mixes can I save?

In the preview version, you can save up to 12 mixes of new colors.

How do I mix a new color?

Load an image that includes the color you need to mix. Reference photos you are using with your painting project are ideal.
Click on a color to load the color information.
Review the suggested color mixes presented.
Mix the new color using the suggested mix.
Paint away!

How do I save a Mix?

Load an image.
Click on a color to load the color information.
Click Save Mix.
Fill in a name.
Click Save.

Can I create more than 1 palettte?

The preview version only has one palette enabled, but the plan is to be able to have multiple palettes.

Are palettes saved for later?

The contents of your palette will be saved in your browser. As long as you return with the same browser, your saved swatches should remain accessible.

Will there be more features?

Yes! I have a number of ideas I’m working on implementing and new features will als be considered based on user feedback and interest.

Can I export my palette?

Exporting is a feature being worked on, as evident by the buttons by the palette. It is not ready for prime-time at this time.
