Every now and then, nature does something unique, a one-of-a-kind experience. This painting attempts to capture one of those moments, when a very odd cloud pattern descended on the area and lingered for a while, shrouding Pioneer Peak in these weird wavy clouds that I had never seen before, nor have I since.
The painting attempts to capture the mood of this phenomenon, from the wavy clouds to the ominous colors of the sky behind Pioneer Peak. It also captures a local farm during the time of the year when the snow is descending, but it hasn’t quite reached ground level yet.
